Tito del Rio, better known as El Huracán, immigrated to the United States with his family in 1864 when he was a young boy. They owned a farm in southern Texas, and he became very strong from physical labor at a young age. He remained the quiet and friendly child of his youth, but became obsessed with physical fitness and put himself through a rigorous strength regime. In his teens, he heard that arm wrestling was a sport that was becoming popular in many saloons and he snuck in to compete, beating men twice his size.

Over the next few years he built up his image and his physique until he was famous for his arm wrestling, and made thousands of dollars on bouts all throughout the Southwest. He knew very little English, so relied on his posse to do most of the talking for him and to handle his money. However, he was becoming disillusioned with the success and attention that arm wrestling was giving him, believing that he was meant for better.

His career suddenly came to an end when Alberto Gonzalez, a trusted member of his posse, planned to steal from him and (literally) stabbed him in the back. Due to the bravery of the Brimstone deputies, Tito barely survived. During his recovery, he stayed close friends with his other posse members André Almas, Eddie Santana and Paco Chavez, but he made it clear to them that his wrestling career was over and that he would spend his time helping others. He decided to become a bodyguard for hire, helping others when they need some muscle.

His posse included André Almas, Eddie Santana, and Paco Chavez.

During an arm wrestling match at the Jumping Jack Saloon, a former associate named Alberto Gonzalez betrayed El Huracán, attempted to steal his money and stabbed him, but was apprehended by Brimstone deputies Jackson Tanning and Dell Gunnarson before he could escape. El Huracán was given medical attention by Doctor Bishop and has recovered from his wounds.

El Huracán was temporarily deputized to help keep the peace while Remy Rodgers' Rootin' Tootin' Rodeo was in town.

He was deputized again after a plot by Sammy Lions to free Dr. Morton Marley from jail was uncovered, and after Lions entered a duel with Sheriff Benjamin Torres, El Huracán tried to attack Lions and was subsequently murdered by him. The crime is currently under investigation in the town.
