Justice Done
By Dietrich Lintz, reporter for the Brimstone Bee
Let it never be said, for all the rough and tumble nature of Brimstone, the fundamental benevolent nature of humanity still shines through. Without promise of pay and knowingly risking life and limb almost two dozen brave men and women answered the call pursue known violent outlaws Theordora "Thunder" Santos and "Lightning" Lenora Langley. And while all volunteers should rightfully be praised for their heroism, it was the band led by Deputy Jackson Tanning and consisting of local gambler Quince Bullen, local eccentric Ulysses Sack, young Junior Joseph, newcomer Sammy Lions, and the McClane siblings of the Rocking C Ranch that not only found the criminal pair in an abandoned Mexican fort, but remarkably successfully returned to Brimstone with the duo without a loss of life on either side. The alleged Black River employees now wait in our county jail arrested on charges of armed assault and murder. Rest assured, readers, the Brimstone Bee will cover the upcoming trial in great detail as we wait to see justice done.
